Classes, workshops, productions, and special events occur throughout the year for all ages, from preschoolers to adults. Preschoolers enjoy manipulating clay, painting to strengthen little fingers and learning about color through some of their first take-home projects. Miss Donna’s Dance classes get active little ones moving. Ceramics and visual art programs for elementary kids help budding artists acquire new skills while having lots of fun.
But you're never too old to learn something new! Sign up for ceramics or painting. Learn to dance. Learn to sing. Participate in our community theatre performances as an actor, or come support the Arts in your community. Don't miss December's 'Big, Big Day at the J' as local artists provide you with opportunities to purchase hand-crafted holiday gifts.

Visual Arts/Ceramics
Painting, sculpting, crafts and more! Explore your artistic side with a wide variety of classes for artists of all ages and levels.
In partnership with Braitman Studios, the Levine JCC offers oil painting and acrylic painting classes. Learn about color, distance and focal points as well as basic techniques in a fun and non-judgmental environment.
Tuition for ceramics classes includes 25lbs of clay, use of electric kiln, glazes/underglazes, shelf space, and unlimited independent studio time. Bring your own tools. Kits available for purchase (Pay $20 at the Levine JCC Customer Service Desk and pick up kit at Levine JCC Ceramics Studio by showing receipt.) All classes are held at the Levine JCC Ceramics studio.

Dance
The Levine JCC offers a variety of dance classes including Israeli folk dance, tap and ballet. For children age 3 to 5, we offer beginner ballet and tap in collaboration with Miss Donna's award winning Charlotte dance studio. But adults can get rhythm, too! We offer several adult ballroom dance classes in partnership with the Metropolitan Ballroom of Charlotte.

From beginning piano to advanced electric guitar, the Levine JCC offers a variety of music lessons.

Drama
Performers of all ages have an opportunity to sing, dance and act in various productions and workshops. Don't miss auditions for our upcoming fall musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2nd grade - Adult): Sunday August 29, 2-5pm (Grades 6+ until 6pm for callbacks). Rehearsals are September 5 - December 2 on Sunday afternoons. Performances will be Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5 (Times TBA). Questions? Our youngest performers will love having opportunity to sing, dance, and show their acting talents with our Broadway Kids Performance Workshop. The series culminates with a performance on the last day. See our program guide for more information on how to get involved.
