If you have been in Charlotte a long time or have just moved to the Queen City, we are growing exponentially! This series is designed to keep you educated and informed.
Free lunches (Greek salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and pepperoncini with feta cheese on the side, hummus with pita, chocolate chip cookie, and bottled water) will be provided for the first 35 people to register. All others are welcome to bring a vegetarian lunch and join us.
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, Mecklenburg County will present about Parks and Recreation and Recycling. Mecklenburg County has over 290 parks throughout the area, as well as manages 8,300 acres of nature preserves and offers four nature centers. Find out more about these incredible amenities and learn more about what can - and cannot - be recycled and how to properly dispose of common household items. The presentation will be by Environmental Program Manager Aaron Caudle and Solid Waste Director Jeffrey M. Smithberger.
