Kids (K-5th Grade)
We offer a variety of programs and classes for K-5th (5-10 year olds).
JHoops Fundamentals: K-4th Grade
Learn basic basketball fundamentals, such as dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and offense in this fun, non-competitive class.
Beginning Gymnastics: K–3rd Grade
An introduction to the world of gymnastics. Learn the basics of all four Olympic events: Vault, Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise. Prior gymnastics experience not required.
Flag Football: K–5th Grade
Introduces football basics, strategies, team work and game play in a constructive learning environment. Non-contact
Taekwondo Classes: K–7th Grade
Teaches blocks, hand strikes, kicking, forms, self-defense, sparring combos, footwork and board breaking thru fitness drills, fun games and team activities. Students also practice discipline, focus, goal-setting, respect, positive attitude, honesty, teamwork and perseverance. Click here for registration and monthly payment authorization form
Flag Football: K-5th Grade
Introduces football basics, strategies and game play. Non-contact, non-competitive class.
Tennis Lessons: 5–18 year olds
Emphasizes stroke work, court knowledge, and games involving tennis skills. Learn more.

Cultural Arts Classes
J Stage Jr.: K–3rd Grade
Young performers will work together to mount a musical production over the course of 3 months. Sing, dance, act, and enjoy skill building activities in improvisation, characterization & creative movement..
J Steps Dance Explosion: K - 3rd Grade
Children will enjoy an active and fun introductory class that will expose them to all styles of dance, including jazz, hip hop, tap and ballet. Classic skills are integrated with creative movement. Ongoing class runs once a week through the end of May, with an optional recital at the end of the year. Ballet/Jazz and tap shoes required.
Music Lessons: Ages 6 and up
Offering guitar, voice, basic piano and drum lessons. Learn more.

Youth Group Swim Lessons: 5-10 year olds
Youth classes are great for children who have not had the opportunity to learn to swim at a young age as well as for those that wish to become better swimmers. Designed for children to learn in an environment appropriate to their age and developmental level.

We are a community-wide recreational swim program offering a supportive and flexible approach to swim team.

JTEAM: K - 5th Grade

Transportation to the Levine JCC from select locations. Homework is supervised by year-round trained staff. Daily activities include drama, arts & crafts, computer lab and more!
Cooking Club 2.0: K - 2nd Grade
Chefs will learn about cooking by watching, feeling, smelling, tasting. They will practice their measuring, and mixing skills with recipes that are fun to make and delicious to eat.

Elementary Edge at the LJCC offers a new childcare option for our members and their children ages 5 to 12 years old.

The Mindy Ellen Levine Day Camp, located on a lush 54-acre campus in the heart of South Charlotte, is the Levine JCC's premier traditional day camp for preschoolers thru teens. We believe that a summer camp experience can have positive and lasting benefits for your child. Through making friends, participating in an array of activities, learning new skills, being outdoors, and experiencing Judaism, camp becomes a magical place where campers have fun, grow and develop positive self-esteem.
