Join us for the community kickoff of Calaniot Before the Rain Ceramic Workshop.
Calanit, also known as red anemones, is Israel’s national flower, which blooms during the winter months. This winter, a group of Israeli ceramic artists, came together with the goal of creating 100,000 clay Calaniot, in an effort to memorialize the victims of the war and the October 7th massacre.
Today these clay flowers can be found in multiple locations from the Dead Sea to Haifa.
Our Charlotte community is taking part in this project, with the goal of displaying the clay flowers around Shalom Park in commemoration of the victims of the October 7th attack.

Workshops are FREE but registration is required. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.
Community Kickoff: 1/20 in Sam Lerner Center for Cultural Arts.
Additional Workshops: 1/22, 1/26, 2/5 & 2/9 in Dumas Activity Center - Room D116.
