CLASSROOM CENTRAL SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
If there’s anything we’ve been reminded of lately, it’s that the playing field is far from level for all students. We can change that. That’s why we host a school supply drive for Classroom Central to make sure students are prepared to learn.
MONTHLY MITZVAHS FOR TEENS
Join other teens as we volunteer to do our part in Tikkun Olam, “healing the world.” We will collaborate with community service organizations and other Jewish Agencies to promote community engagement and build partnerships.
For more information, contact Caleb Seidler at [email protected] or 704.944.6844.

FEEDING THE HUNGRY
Make bag lunches at home for our friends at A Roof Above (formerly Urban Ministry), then drop them at the LJCC for delivery.
LEVINE JCC KIDS TRIATHLON
This annual event has raised money for pediatric rehabilitative services at Levine Children’s Hospital and the Adaptive Sports and Adventures Program, which is part of Carolinas Rehabilitation for the past 10 years. Beginning with the 11th Annual Kids Tri on May 21, 2023, a portion of the proceeds will remain at the LJCC for adaptive and special needs programming here at Shalom Park.
Children ages five through 14 swim, bike and run for a cause. Over the past decade, more than $923,000 has been granted to LCH and ASAP. This money is raised via corporate sponsorships and individual fundraising by the participants.
The Kids Tri Training Programs gets participants comfortable with all parts of the race: Swimming / Biking / Running / Transitioning.
CAMP SOAR
Camp SOAR (Special Olympics Athletic Retreat) is a free day camp for children and adults with special needs. Camp SOAR provides a fun and memorable experience for both its campers and its volunteers.
Volunteers must be rising 9th graders or older and make a commitment to volunteer for a complete session.
