Chair Exercise Lite: Increase your flexibility, agility, and strength through gentle, basic exercise led by an Levine JCC exercise professional. All exercises are performed in a chair. May use light weights, bands, yoga balls.

Classes are offered quarterly and taught by Emily Hoody-Russell, Social Action Coordinator here at the J. Emily is an avid cook, and has many years of experience in the Pastry Arts. 

The Language Academy of the Carolinas, Inc. offers its award-winning adult Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese classes at the Levine JCC. They work in small groups of 4-8 people and teach you how to converse in the language. There are no tests and no grades, and everything is conducted almost entirely in the language to create an immersive experience for the participants. Reading, writing and listening comprehension are all emphasized as tools to enhance your ability to speak. Looking for something different to unleash your imagination? Come explore mixed media! This class will allow you to work with and explore a variety of materials: acrylic and watercolor paint, collage, and pen and ink, all combined to create your own unique masterpieces!

Courses will not be prorated for classes missed.

This class is designed for all levels of fitness to learn the forms of Tai Chi. Improve your strength, balance, circulation and coordination, all in a fun and safe environment. Classes are ongoing and fees are paid per month.
