Location: Swimmer Family Ceramics Studio

Beginners Class - This class is for beginners without any prior clay experience. Learn to throw on the potter's wheel or enhance your throwing skills. Introduces basic hand building techniques such as coiling, joined slabs & drape molds, as well as glazing and other surface design possibilities. 

All Level Classes - These classes are for beginners without any prior clay experience OR for students with prior knowledge who want to advance their skills. Learn to throw on the potter's wheel or enhance your throwing skills. Introduces basic hand building techniques such as coiling, joined slabs & drape molds, as well as glazing and other surface design possibilities. Classes may vary slightly by instructor.    

Intermediate Classes - These classes are for the intermediate level student in hand building and/or wheel throwing.  For the wheel throwers, prior knowledge of centering and basic throwing skills is required. These classes are geared to improving and refining your techniques while developing your own personal style. AM or PM classes available. Classes may vary slightly by instructor.   

All classes are in our fully equipped Ceramics Studio. Fees include 25 lbs. of clay, use of electric kiln, glazes/underglazes, shelf space, and unlimited independent studio time when studio is not in use.

Prerequisite: Children must be fully potty-trained to enroll in this program. The LJCC reserves the right to cancel enrollment, with no refund, for any child who is not fully potty-trained.
